Trip to the desert in Morocco A trip landing page, built for the phone
It's not where the ad leads
The ad leads to WhatsApp. The website is what gets sent in the conversation, to people who want to see more before booking: the itinerary, the price, who has been. Its job is to give confidence and desire. We tried making it the ad's destination and it didn't work, so it kept this role.
The trip's brand, On The Way Travel, has its own identity: it doesn't use the Studio's colours or typeface.
How it looked in June
Pretty, but working against the conversation.
- The first screen was a phrase, "Get ready to live this crossing.", without saying what it was, how much it cost or where to book.
- On the computer, the first scroll didn't move the page down: it played the video and locked everything. It seemed broken.
- Just to open, the page asked for 4.6 MB, and each photograph was between 2 and 4 MB.
- The text talked about the form ("presented in a light, clear and easy-to-follow way") instead of talking about the trip.

What changed in September
It opens straight away with the trip
The desert video starts by itself and, on top of it, everything is there: what it is, how many days, the price and the button to talk to us. Nothing locks the scroll.
The itinerary, day by day
Five days told with the facts of the programme: what you see, how long on the road, where you sleep. You scroll down and the days go by.
Who has been
Real messages from people who travelled, before and after the trip. For a trip booked through WhatsApp, it's the proof that counts.
225€ per person, spelled out
In the ad comments, the most repeated question was the price: many people didn't realise the 225€ was per person and only the land part. The price now says so in full, with what is paid to secure your place and what is left for arrival.
What isn't included, in plain sight
The flight, the tips, the entrance fees paid separately. It comes right after the price, so nobody is caught by surprise.
WhatsApp always at hand
On a phone, the button stays fixed at the bottom. And the message carries the source, so you know which ad each conversation came from. The website works for the conversation.
Compare the two
The same trip and the same price. Drag the line and see it on a phone too.
From 41 MB to 7 MB
The website files went from about 41 MB to 7 MB: resized photographs in WebP, and the top video from 2.6 MB to 460 KB. Measured on 23 October, the page opens with 1.1 MB; the June version opened with 4.6 MB. On a phone, on mobile data, you notice it straight away.
The website doesn't sell on its own: it goes along with the conversation. What the ads and the conversations brought is in paid ads and in the travel agency case.
